{"id":3169,"date":"2023-06-16T09:00:46","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T17:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thesimplehouse.com\/?p=3169"},"modified":"2023-06-16T09:02:51","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T17:02:51","slug":"road-tripping-in-an-ev-01-sisters-oregon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thesimplehouse.com\/?p=3169","title":{"rendered":"Road Tripping in an EV | 01 &#8211; Sisters, Oregon"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We bought a Red Tesla Long Range  Model 3 in February 2018 (310 rated miles, we named her Scarlett because you have to name your Tesla). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was our first electric vehicle, and, a year later, it became our <strong><em>ONLY<\/em><\/strong> vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ve encountered several people along the way asking the universal two questions: How do you like your car? <em>(Love it. Wouldn\u2019t trade it for anything. Will never go back to an ICE) <\/em>and the second question: Yeah, you love it, but would you take it on a long road trip? <em>(usually they\u2019re thinking 700 miles or so).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer to that last question is a resounding \u201cyes!\u201d In fact, we\u2019ve taken our Model 3 on numerous road trips ranging from 1,200 to over 3,000 miles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No issues. No problems. We always stop at High Camp. They have Himalayan and Nepalese food that is incredible. It now has joined <a href=\"https:\/\/sisterscoffee.com\">Sisters Coffee<\/a> as one of our \u201cmust stop\u201d places when we travel this direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, High Camp is right across the street from the Sisters Library, which has free Level 2 charging (thank you, City of Sisters!).
