After completing our loop, we made it home. 1,864 miles, 438 kWh at an average 235 Wh\/mi. Total cost for charging was $54.83. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

$0.029\/mile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the best we\u2019ve ever done on a road trip thanks to all the free charging locations. Charging along the way was simple, easy and very accessible with the exception of the Steens trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maybe that will change in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We bought a Modern Spare<\/a> tire to take, just in case, since we were going to be in remote areas with no cell service and potholes but we didn’t need it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the huge trunk in the car (as well as the sub-trunk and<\/em><\/strong> the frunk), everything else still fit: two suitcases, two duffel bags, two backpacks, a small cooler, a boatload of charging cables and adapters (that we also didn\u2019t need), extension cords (110v and 240v), a tire pump, binoculars, hiking poles, water bottles, coats and sweaters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And nothing in the back seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To those who ask “yeah, but would you take it on a long road trip?” I have to say, “of course. We have in the past and we will in the future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
