Our Master Bathroom floor will be recycled wine corks. The home will be shown on the Lane County Home Builder’s Tour of Homes July 25 thru August 2 in Eugene, Oregon. The tour is free — if you’re in the area, come on by!
OK, so this isn’t my best picture; I’ll get a better one. This is a view from the entry looking toward the kitchen (The island isn’t installed yet). Cabinets are FSC Certified and a deep, chocolate brown. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. And… the cork floor is going down in the bathrooms.
This is a segment of the reclaimed wood flooring in theSAGE. With up to six different species of wood, this floor is made up of wood salvaged from dismantled buildings. It’s been buffed and will be sealed with a very low VOC sealer.
If you’ve been following our construction of theSAGE at the Arbor South Architecture Group on Facebook, you’ll know all the sustainable features we’re packing into 1,447 sq ft. FreeGreen is a co-sponsor of a home design competition in Greensburg, KS. Greensburg was hit by an EF5, pretty much wiping the town off the map. Our detached garage option, theCAR is now available. If you want to order a JADE or FERN without the attached garage option, this is a good alternative.
